Year 5 - Mulberry Tree Class
Welcome to Mulberry Tree Class,
Into the summer term of Year 5 we venture. We are so proud of how resilient and hardworking Mulberry Class have been throughout this challenging year and we are looking forward to seeing what the children achieve this term. This term, we will be answering the Key Question, “Is communication the key?” thinking about the power of teamwork and the many forms of communication available to us. We will explore local and global issues, considering the best way to make our voices heard.
We are currently exploring ‘The Wilderness War’ in English, working towards writing a creative narrative based in the wilderness and along the way we will be exploring the importance of wild and natural places in the world we live in. It appears to be an issue close to Mulberry hearts. In Geography we will be learning all about rivers and their features. Please do take the opportunity to read our summer curriculum newsletter for more details about what the children will be covering this term.
We agreed a class target and motto of 'Be our best' for this year and we are making good progress towards that. This term we will be thinking about how we can ‘be our best’ in all aspects of school life with a particular focus on our Habits of Mind of Collaboration and Creativity.
Please do get in touch with us if you have any questions or feedback; we would be delighted to hear from you and very happy to help.
