​Welcome back to the Summer Term! We have an exciting term, with lots of interesting learning in Year 2!

In Summer 1, our learning in Geography will be focusing on islands. We will be comparing islands across the UK and exploring what it is like to live on an island.  We will be creating our very own watercolour paintings based on the work of Beatrix Potter in Art. In English, we will be exploring apostrophes for possession and contracted forms. We will be reading a range of Beatrix Potter books and writing in a range of genres.

In Summer 2, we will be learning about significant individuals in History. We will explore the work of Mary Seacole and Florence Nightingale and their impact on the world. In PE, we will be doing lots of outside activities, such as orienteering and athletics.
