PE at Romsey Abbey Primary School
How we teach PE:
Children at Romsey Abbey Primary School are given expansive opportunities to compete in - and learn the skills of - a wide variety of sports. Throughout the year, children are taught the skills to compete in; football, netball, hockey, basketball, cross-country and athletics. The winners of in-school competitions are then chosen to represent our school at local, county and potentially national level.
Within sport, children learn to show their confidence by making the most of every cooperative and competitive opportunity as well as developing their sportsmanship through teamwork. From Year R children learn to work together to achieve objectives and, in later years; develop their confidence to prove their ability in individual sports.
